golden keys!
my present (more like a present to Y himself): a little shelf for work etc, current books and papers. it's a narrow shelf between rooms, an idea we've seen in some other houses. some shelves for V, one for Y. i say that it's mine alone and the lock too.
i love to be able to lock my house. i'm not a trusting countrysider. (earlier we only had a hanging lock on the kitchen door, so the old side could be locked)

Minäkään en luota maalaisiin (mutta kun lukitsee yöksi oven, pitäisi muistaa ottaa myös avain pois lukosta...). Meille on tulossa (= kun T ehtii tehdä) kaksi tuommoista kapeaa hyllyä. Toinen keittiöön ja toinen työ/vierashuoneeseen, juuri tuollaiseen tällä hetkellä tarvittavien papereiden ja kirjojen yms säilöntään. Kasat väistykööt!
Ja on muuten hieno myyräavaimenperä :-)

Beautiful handle on your door.... we need some of that candling work done here on ours....they don't close properly since we have new stumps holding up the house.

Fliss, yes, i saw, you're having a big operation! i never knew about the candle treatment.
the lock and handle parts come from 7 different places, by the way. there's been a lot of searching (by Y), and now there is a working set with everything old and pretty.
Violet, jos taloon haluaa päästä sisälle, niin pääsee, mutta sitten pitää olla heti alusta lähtien Rikollinen. eikä vaikka vaan utelias; kas, aukinainen ovi...
