It is snowing very lightly. They have golden nail polish, it's his first time. She has the most wonderful aluminum foil curls too. We're off to our friends' house soon. I've been working, translating to the wrong direction, but it's making me happy. And I have a next job too and it's Beautiful. So there are promises for the new year. And new year in any case means that there will be another spring. Happy turn of the year! See you!

Vuoden vika päivänä on kultaista kynsilakkaa, foliokiharoita ja töitä.
Onnellista uutta vuotta!
Many reasons to be absent from here, although it hasn't been my meaning. So many photos in my camera, and no space on my computer. It feels like there are many stories too. But I haven't been so happy, and this is my space to practice positivity. I dreamt one night that I wrote a very long post. I don't really do that anymore, I think I used to write more.
We're doing little christmas things and V is so wonderfully appreciating everything. "This is so beautiful! What is this?! This smells so good!" Like can it be true what she's seeing? And it's all very modest. She has planted those little trees, so there is one for her (on the right) and one for the little brother. We're bringing the bigger tree inside tomorrow. There are 2 picture calendars and 2 pocket calendars this year (quite difficult to come up with things to put in little V's pockets!). They will get puzzles I found in Berlin from the last pockets. Pictures of cats that look like our kittens. She made a calendar for me and Y! The photo seems to be pretty old... (I think she normally knows numbers a bit better, this is a bit hard to decipher sometimes.) Y brought the coolest ever wrapping paper. The kittens are learning to go out. And V has the coolest felt boots ever.
Merry christmas, happy holidays, love!

Hauskaa ja ihanaista joulua, nyt se jo tuli!
We love tigers around here. I'm posting this little bag we made to tell you I'm still here. (Instead of Berlin which I only have on my iphone and I can't get it out. And it's not much, I seem to be someone who doesn't take too many photos while traveling, mostly because the camera is too heavy to carry around. But I know a little girl who will get an ideal camera to carry with her for christmas.) (Thurston at Volksbühne was soooo great!)
So this bag. V has chosen the materials, cut the tiger (besides the white belly part) and sewn the stripes and the mouth. I have sewn the bag, the eyes and the tiger on its place. Ain't it great!
Today we've been to a big christmas fair and to the birthday party of a 6 year old. Now I'm sitting and laughing with The Kasper Strömman Design Blog. It's late. And full moon.
I started saying "you" a lot here. I don't know why and I don't know why it matters. Good night anyway.
You see, I was going to do was to make little packet cards for christmas and sell them to YOU. I made some, but I'm not happy with the result and today was my deadline. But I will see if somebody buys them at a christmas fair we go to with the kindergarten! It's different if you see them in real life. December feels nice. I will go to Berlin soon.
She's drawing birds. I am too. We also make origami and other paper works. Some sewing. (The machine is broken, a new one is on the way.) She's very productive, I am less. But we inspire each other.
December is almost here. I was an angel today.
I got the latest Milk déco in the mail this week. My 2 favourite photos in it. (This calls for a big :)) I love their cards, the childhood photos are such a sweet idea.
Today I have met with sweet M, seen all the christmas windows with the kids, met with another sweet M and her cute little boy.
Photos by "guest-blogger" Y. He took them yesterday evening.
It got colder and everywhere is bit by frost -- it feels strangely uplifting. It looks lighter.
The word frost makes me think of a Sonic Youth song and of Robert Frank.
I will go and have a look why little V is so quiet upstairs.
A haircut for little V. I decided again that he's a short-haired little guy. I think he is. I find myself a bit conservative here! But he's allowed to have long hair later on if he wants to. (He got this finland uniform shirt from the flea-market.)
I crocheted this little pillow-chair, actually in the summer, but now it finally got some filling. It's an old sheet. I'm quite happy with it!
The first book I ever made in the bookbinding class at my weekend school. The fabric is from Elisabeth! I always wondered whether to make a pillow case or a hat from it. I'm happy with this use! I'm gonna give the book to V for christmas, the paper is very good for drawing and painting ("steiner paper").
I don't get to play, I'm off to school. But have a nice weekend, you!
(I have my weekend on Sunday, then I'm going to read all the magazines. I was surprised to find Papier Mache # 2 at the book shop!)
On Sunday we went to pick up ONE kitten from a friend's house. Short version of the story is that we ended up taking TWO kittens home. Which means we now have FOUR cats. And that's something I never intended to happen. 2 is 2 but 4 is a herd. (Same with kids I suppose, if you have three of them you might as well have four.) They are a brother and a sister, we call them Nuppu and Siiri. V gave the name Nuppu (means a bud of a flower) to her favourite one (the light coloured one) and Siiri is my great-grandmother's name (or Sigrid for my favourite, I like to have a connection to something, someone with names). They are super sweet and wonderful ♡♡♡.
The bottom photo I just happened to see today, it is taken exactly 3 years ago. My baby! Little V is now wearing that coat and those mittens.
And I'm borrowing all 3 Soulemama books.
I think I have a new friend, I would say she's a friend.

Meille tuli 2 pentua, Nuppu ja Siiri. Oi miten ihania he ovat. En koskaan halunnut kissalaumaa, mutta sellainen meillä nyt on. Isot kissat ovat aika epäluuloisia vielä.
Ja sattumalta tuli vastaan kuva pienestä tyttärestäni tasan 3 vuotta sitten. Miten pikkuinen. Siinä on sitten myös pikkuveljen talvi-look.
I've been collecting sunrises. The days are getting shorter and shorter. I wish I could escape. But at the same I enjoy how me and V started to spread all kinds of crafting all around (another sign of the change of seasons); she's learning to crochet and to sew by hand! And I think of christmas -- how weird is that? It's anyway only october.
It seems it's an autumn of love too, at least for the other half of the break-ups. My brother got engaged with his new love. My favourite story though is the one of falling back in love after the divorce process was already started. And it seems like we will get a little kitten!
We're so deep in autumn. And these photos are a bit old, that tree must look a lot barer now. We should take the teepee down. The car windows were frozen on one morning. And it gets dark so early.
I have taken so many pictures of the steamed window, but now the double window is back on its place and there's no more steam. That's a whale. Well it's pretty obvious.
It feels like there's a lot happening outside of home now with weekend school and some other activities - that's good. I have almost stopped breast-feeding. It makes me happy and sad. I will never breast-feed again!
This is an autumn of divorces and break-ups and now even Kim and Thurston separate...
ps: THANK YOU for many many congratulations and sweet words ♡
