some playing leads into more playing... another tag, "what's on my wall".
i decided to do this because usually i'm someone who has a lot of things hanging here and there. but on Manteli walls i don't. so i had to really look around.

a little progress

the boards right at the edge of the roof are in their places and painted. now we can call draining pipe guys. also, the chimney got a hat (not pictured). i got to do some painting too, one edge, standing on the ladder. still a lot to do...


we got new load of pumpkin seeds too. they are wonderful on top of bread.

i'm torn between being passionate of trying to win more gardening ground, and being totally lazy and discouraged about it. but i'm not an ambitious person and i allow myself to do just a little.

i have been so quiet about Sonic Youth for all this time... their record covers are not the most wonderful things to look at, but i like the SYR series' look a lot. and "Daydream Nation" and "The Whitey Album".

Finland's news are so horrible, again. speechless, blank, shocked, disappointed.

(this is a very useful hobby, so many records i have almost forgotten. mieke willems once showed their 2 favourites, and i've been thinking to do this since then. many of my very favourite records to listen to don't have very beautiful covers though.)

and pink

i planted beet-root seeds too late, it got cold too soon - in any case they are tiny. they are like pearls. i made pink beet-root pancakes. V brought flowers and painted rain clouds.

i'm so bad at concentrating in anything now and hours just tick away.
too many unclear things at one time.
but the sky is clear. that means a lot.
i should work... and prepare food for my kindergarten kid. 2 and half hours before i go get her.
everybody's crazy about japan. and discovering sweet things, books mainly. i wish that meant work and money to me directly.
i'm not going to explain this thought.

red brown gold

kitchen table this morning. my mum planted gladiolus onions in the spring. she has such flashy tastes.
but they do look nice inside, one at a time.


we are back on track, i guess. 3 kindergarten days, 2 home-days and weekend to come. yesterday me and V went to pick up food (and play in the playground there). a lot of food. rice, hirs, quinoa, buckwheat, lentils, dried figues, dates, plums, apricots, beans, coconut flakes and milk...

then we parked at a 2 h spot, jumped on the tram and went to Helsinki - just quickly. enough time to find gloves for her and go to my 2 favorite shops. everyone we met was very nice and i got textile ink, good quality, in the riddance basket. i saw many clothes i would've wanted to try on and even TWO very trendy guys offered to help lifting the pram. and there are quite many stairs to that shop! back at the car we had a quick look in to a second-hand children's clothing shop. it's crazy mess inside there, but i made 2 finds, both of them 40 cents. V was wearing the golden-cat mask (the other find) today when we went to A's birthday and he shouted: "you were not supposed to be masked for this party!!" (last year we went wrong too, we were not dressed as pirates.)

one morning

i'm in need to see the sunny photos. these were not taken today. no. this morning is grey, cold, losing my nerves about brushing teeth.
it feels like it's going to take time to recover from the past weeks. they were not bad, but just unordinary. we like ordinary. i'm not going to make a list of the things that trouble me right now, and since some time, but

cigarettes

but i didn't. and only because i thought i'd like to have this "natural" tobacco brand. i don't even know if they sell it in finland.
