something new

i'm breaking the blog break to show our new tiles. finally! tiles from an old apartment in central Helsinki, lamp from e-bay, drawstring from the price-tag of my new scarf. the kitchen tap finally got itself a worthy background. some electricity work still missing.
V with John Waters mustache.
a walk in the forest, some sweet little deers were running away from me.

now, until March

look!

there's sun!

and! we got a big doll-house from K, our great benefactor! it could be used as a book-shelf in the future, but we don't need to do that, because we're just borrowing it for as long as V would like to play with it. she says she will play with it still as a school-kid. maybe even when she's in the university. the house has been built by K's relative, and her 3 daughters are done playing with it.

this February i'm going to say good-bye and see you soon to a dear friend who's moving back to Japan after 5 1/2 years in Finland. we had a nice sauna with her in our friends' empty house - we should do that more often. our sauna needs repairing, we are not that into sauna, but it adds so much to the countryside experience. i'm happy our little sauna is separate from the house. i'm also going to knit. very recently i received a surprise package, and it included empty notebooks for me to draw in. so maybe i will draw too. and make something with the sweet fabrics from the same package. from a sweet girl.

i'm going to have little blog break now, for the rest of the month. or until i have something urgent to say.
if i owe you letters or e-mails, i will write to you. soon.
see you in March!

recycled home

i went to the book sales in order to buy a certain gardening book, but it was sold out. instead i got a book called "Recycled home" by Mark & Sally Bailey. i tried to look at it very carefully, as i'm usually very disappointed if i buy this kind of books (especially magazines). but this book is pretty nice. there's many, many photos i like, and there are quite inspiring ideas - even if your house is not a stone house built in the 17th century. we have quite many things in our home that would seem to follow the "philosophy" of this book. all this stuff they find at flea-markets in England and France is so beautiful, but i find myself thinking that it wouldn't fit to have it all here. i think most of the stuff should be somehow local. soon it is time for outdoor flea-markets again! above: my dream doll-house. i've seen the same idea somewhere before. below: nice kitchen.

no rides to kindergarten, so we've been having home days with V. i have some nice work waiting and as i got started again with the not-so-nice work, i can't wait to get back to it. so all is well.

not so difficult

day 2 is already better. typing full speed, then correcting all the mistakes. and only authorised breaks. breaks a bit too long though. soon i will have a little walk to mail some letters.

these are random photos again:
- V's braid curls (something that i was very concerned about as a kid. there was some kind of wonderful picture in one Astrid Lindgren book... i had some yesterday too.)
- very nice cookies, another variation
- the same view as always, to the field
- V's favourite baby, Talda, in all new woolen outfit

difficult

it's my first working day in a while, and i'm having difficulties concentrating - nothing new.

another week without a car. i'm so suspicious about any car seller. why does somebody want to sell a car? because there's something wrong with it! i'm insane, missing V while she's at the kindergarten. quite stressful for both of us to fix with the rides every week. this morning it was R who took us, even though his kid was sick. i mean, he took me too, and i had a morning walk from their place. i was thinking some fresh air would get me in an active mood.

a nice thing to wait: we're going to have a house on the yard, workshop, storage and a work/guest room. then i would be walking across the yard to work. the house will be located to the left from those trees. we've bought an old log structure.
