This was the last strawberry picking (quite a while ago). She was drawing the plum tree and every other tree on that same day (with the pencil from you R!). I still didn't finish my school summer assignment... It's still a bit warm on the afternoons. The afternoons have become long and nice with the new schedules. Loving the new schedules.
Life feels ok, maybe more than ok. I wish it would settle down a bit though. I've had nice meetings and good talks with many people. Those moments are so precious.

My favourite mirror and his favourite mirror. Some change to the green pictures. I was obsessed about taking the kids to Linnanmäki before school starts. And I did, the day before. We got home quite late that evening.
Getting up at 7 doesn't feel too bad! Oh but for little V to get used to going to the kindergarten... it demands some cold-bloodedness. The first-grader is a very happy one. The weather got warmer again, Y has had a sunny holiday.
Then there's all this other stuff that demands a lot of energy. I never had a lot of energy.
The season changed almost over night. Over the last week anyway.

I have to swim there at least once more. The water is like velvet.
No more bare arms and legs. Sigh.
These two will start their careers this week, one at school, the other one at kindergarten. I've washed a lot of kindergarten textiles, cleaned some school windows and ironed silks. We have one more day off and then our life will be forever changed. I will have a school kid. I have to make sure she gets there every day. She got a new watch from my mum as a school starting present. I will also have a kindergarten kid, he's so excited. I met his teacher today for the first time.
We got cornflowers of a strange colour.
Oh cherry tree.
I thought I'd never want to leave you but after trying to figure out what to do with all these cherries I don't know anymore! First there were just flowers, then 2 cherries, and then the year after that: 2 liters of cherries. This year: I'm not sure, I think we picked at least 5 liters. There's still more. And there will be more and more every year!
But I could become a cherry picker by profession.
And V could take a jar of cherry jam to her teacher, to her school which is starting NEXT WEEK!!!

We are considering to sell our house. We are.
I don't know what would be for the best.
I almost know what's best, but it will break my heart to part with this house.
I wish it were possible to move it to another place.
I never write about the problems there are, but this blog is not the place for it.
This is something else. I don't know why I'm telling you this.
No of course I know, it's just so much weight.
But at the same time it's something to be happy, excited, relieved, overjoyed about. We'll see what happens.

I've been to a festival for 3 days. Saw Kurt Vile, Kim Gordon & Ikue Mori, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, Moon Duo, K-X-P, Veronica Falls and many more.
Strange to be back home to all this mother+household business. But very happy too. And heartbreaking, with the house.
One day we constructed all kinds of things on the yard instead of having dinner.
This horse is a collaboration of V and me. We also made little benches, a crocodile and some machines.
Today was a good day, some sweet people came over. The girls picked blueberries and we made a pie.
There's a lot going on.
