the camera is at work again, so i will write about books without photos. on my last pay day we went book shopping. i got the Siri Hustvedt book everybody is reading and a new finnish book by R Katajavuori and S Savolainen. it's called "Mennään jo kotiin" (Let's go home now), and it features homes of families. illustrator Savolainen has visited homes and drawn everything in detail in one room. the families had an order not to clean up beforehand. the drawings are wonderful (i started to like her style after reading many chilren's books by her, i didn't like it immediately), it'd be great to get a portrait of our mess too. a photo is too harsh. the text is random talking from kids. it is a quite funny look into interiors, a bit like all the Tokyo homes -books. you can look and wonder what kind of people live there. and keep their hockey gear and skateboards in sauna! i noticed that i like the one super elegant home the nicest to look at though... that one could be in a magazine.
