hommage

it is october, my month! maybe the cool sunny crispy autumn will start now. i didn't bring the camera to Manteli yesterday, as we went by bus (with kilos of flower onions that remained in their bags). i was being a woman on a building site, cleaning and dusting and making coffee. my mum was there also, she did the dishes! the kamari room has these white insulation boards now, and it makes a funny foggy effect to the eyes, they have been used to the darkness of the log walls. i also scraped old paint from the ceiling, almost done! Y and his stepfather A were making bathroom concrete floor. i love it when A is there to help, he is so calm and unstressed and effective. i love it when my mum is there too, but she's very un-calm, talking and singing nonstop, not hearing/listening anything - she's wonderful. (this is now my mature opinion.) we made a big pile of leaves for V to jump, what is the word for this action. (haravoiminen siis.)

the picture is a line of animals that V put there. it is very typical playing for her. after a while they "come away from this line thing" (rivihomma). it is like an hommage to artist Maaria Wirkkala.

oh, and i'm so very happy that some people have found my blog. it is a strange and inspiring world.
