a long break and now it is a new year. most important thing is of course that the Move To Manteli is bound to happen This Year. This Spring. on our trip, i heard Y answer someone's question about When "This Winter"!
some 'best things' from our trip:
-Alsace-style restaurant in Kreuzberg on our first Berlin evening
-amazing K, who was in charge of making the wedding food
-Poland-made Moomin doll animations i got on the last minute at Hki airport (helped a lot when V was sick a couple of days)
-another Kreuzberg restaurant the evening before the wedding. wonderful concept: one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian dish (soup, main course, dessert) per day
-the wedding, the love
-Jewish museum (my only solo trip)
-meeting with the family G-K, the morning trip to the farm animal park at 5 min walk from J & A's house, the café there - why, oh WHY there's no places like that in central Hki... fresh wafers for 1 euro. i hate going to zoos, but this was a happy place with goats, sheep, pigs, hen...
-views from the train Nice-Marseille!
-the eternal sunshine in Marseille
-seeing V excited about her new city
-the cats and cello playing from an open window on a little square in the old town Le Panier
-climbing up to the hill of Notre Dame de Garde church (renamed Foxes Big Belly Church)
-finding a coat for me, super easily, strange
-round stones, like eggs, at the beach
-the train again, Marseille-Nice
-Ferris wheel in Nice, our luxurious stop on the way back, the beach, imagining early days of the area
-one last night in Berlin and oat meal flakes (organic even) from R, who gave the flat to us alone for that night
-in general how well the trip went "technically"
