on Sunday we went to 2 birthday parties: Y's aunt 50 years and N 3 years. the aunt got a video camera (not from us though), she needs it for filming herself dance on the beach. she's super nice. also her daughter, who has a 3-year old daughter too, V's second cousin. for N i knitted a scarf (organic wool + pompon of icelandic wool) packed in a pouch with V's portrait of him. i realised, happily, that since we moved i'm only making presents to everyone! far from shops what can you do... proud of myself. actually it's all featured in the blog too. V and N being entertained by Y.

V is into writing. we sent a letter to my bother and his girlfriend. especially the drawing of my brother is very resembling. he should get a shirt with such big buttons.
i'm missing my home life here in town, but it's a happy feeling. i like this shop.
tonight i'm gonna meet up with dear F, without any kids, yeah!

all so wonderful: the scarf with red ponpon, to make/receive hand made presents, the writing-drawing and the completely delighted children. Yesterday L and me were talking about how perfect it would be to have another (3 year old) child in the family! such an amazing age, still completely in their own innocent and phantasy world but able to communicate. enjoy your evening.
yes enojoy it! greetings to F; very warm ones; hand-made, I just see not-ready ones here laying around; being in the city without taking advantage of it. again v. looking like björk. I dream of such a hairstyle for myself... since a long; greet and hug you all;
you put together such cute outfits & hairdos for your little girl! someday, when i'm a mother, i hope i'm as good as that as you are. i think that's going to be one of the most fun parts. :)
(also, in the top photo, and a couple of others, she really reminds me of/looks like björk! sweet.)
this was one of the first comments when V was born; thät she looks like Björk. maybe the first one was that she looks like a cat! i thought that was nice.
i actually stayed overnight at F's, and we went to Kom, so i thought of you, Ola!
V wanted to have My hairstyle that day, what is she called then, "the little My" in the the moomins.
yes, it is very much fun dressing a little girl... i guess nice clothes are getting harder to find (at flea-market) when they get bigger. and so interesting now that her own tastes are developing.
maybe you could adopt a 3-year old somewhere, A?
Yes handmade presents are always so much nicer, what you both made are beautiful. We live close to town and i avoid the $2 shop where it all comes from China.
Your days look like they have been filled with beautiful celebrations. Enjoy :)
Ihana pikkumyy auton takapenkillä!
Partyaika meilläkin. Tuntuu että kaikki tutut ovat syntyneet tähän aikaan. Toinen suma on elokuussa.
Your fotos are beautiful****
haha, i just realized that someone already said that about her looking like björk, just above me! i didn't see that before! :D
and yes, it is a very mymble hair-do. i have tried to put my hair up that way but it is slightly wavy and it doesn't always work out so well.
i walked by a stand of christmas trees for sale on the sidewalk here in new york (all december long there are random christmas tree stalls scattered throughout the city)...the sidewalk was soft with fallen needles, and rain was falling on the branches, and everything smelled forest-y, and i thought of you in your winter woods. it must smell so magical.
What you both make is truly beautiful. I'm helpless at making things (sewing, knitting...) but I always try not to give any plastic thing.
The truth is that I get so many great ideas from bloggers like you that I should keep in mind sewing as a new year proposition :)
Esti, i think it's a matter of decision, i consider myself pretty clumsy in all this. maybe it all comes from school, handicraft classes. those teachers are often not encouraging at all.
Kaela, thank you for thinking of me in New York!!
i haven't been to the forest all week because of working in town, but on the weekend i will, with Berlin guests, our car is broken, so we can't go anywhere further.
thank you La Sirène and everyone
x
