new life

Ok no explanations. I tried. It's way too boring. I'm just going to write and there's no photo.

I am here, I started working at the kindergarten. Everything is so different. The season is changing. I love this house, it smells of apples, there is a cellar we could fill with apples and jam and sauerkraut. I love my mornings and bicycling down the road back home from work when it feels like autumn. Nothing is better than bicycling in the evening in autumn air. For that my way back home is too short. I'm finally going to start weaving classes next week. My child wants to try everything as a hobby; she's doing art, yoga, cooking in English, crafts, choir, scouts. And her chosen instrument is the ACCORDION!! (and not harmonica - in finnish accordion is harmonikka.) That will start next week. My other child is going through a crazy phase, I don't yet know how to deal with that. His face is all scarred from all his activities: falling down from a tree, harassing the little black cat, carrying wood. He's planning his birthday: he wants a hooded sweater and pants, an ice-cream cake, a huge robot and boots. And he's a natural born break-dancer. 

There are so many good people around us, I'm really happy to have befriended them. Life is full and happy right now. I want to write that down. Almost one year ago we came to this house for the first time.  

we have a trampoline

Back in the day we didn't. There's a perfect spot for the trampoline on our yard. Y found a good second-hand one. And yes we will get a protective net around it.

Domestic scenes: cat in the sun, kids with comics -- this happens a lot on our new library kitchen sofa; always reminds me of Sally Mann's "Sunday funnies" --, cat's house and mailbox, pizza.

We went to the archipelago for a little bit.
We went to Linnanmäki (amusement park).
I got a job. 

B40

Last weekend we got to celebrate B's 40th birthday. Three of us came back home around midnight, one of us stayed until the afternoon next day. For parties and warmth this summer has been pretty good. It's been cold since a couple of weeks now, it's too early for cold!

I bought 4 crayons and 2 hydrangeas today.

July started with the French people and reorganizing the kitchen and parties. The kitchen is becoming so nice! The French people were so nice! And parties, we had one that just happened and went on until 5 am! Today's party was for a kid's 8 years and I visited their superb house for the first time. 

Quite many ! considering that I'm also having a summer time blues*, there's not enough happening, somehow. I saw Patti Smith in concert and they played that* song, I wouldn't have written that otherwise...

Oh I miss posting photos. Tonight I was looking at a book which made me miss it even more. I suppose we skip Japan and concentrate on here+now. It's the end of June and it's been a good summer so far. I was working and studying in the beginning of the month so I got to really have a holiday. I'm still enjoying not having to set the alarm every evening. And I think I've become a summer person. Wearing shorts and all that. Almost publicly. 

We have a new family member. V's cat never returned and we all thought a kitten would be a good idea. A black one, like Jiji. She's super cute and elegant.

We're trying to put the house in order, there's a lot to do. I should put my life in order too, not sure how to do that. In that sense I can't keep on concentrating on the here+now. 

Next week there will be visitors from France, exciting to meet for the first time!
