We were lucky to go to a midsummer night party that was pretty perfect. It was very cold to be outside though. I don't like the word midsummer as by this time, the summer has hardly started. But I'm on holiday and full of spirit!

holiday, almost

The table series, April/May. 

It is supposedly summer holiday now. But not really. I have some studies to do, some work to do, too many schedules still to feel like on a holiday. It's gonna take a while to really get it and start feeling relaxed. I have enjoyed working where I work but it has also been really heavy. Not for dealing with the kids but with the grown-ups. Every day. How many misunderstandings fit into one day.

The school is turning 30 this year, it has quite a history and we had a really nice party to celebrate it on a rainy day. First with kids' performances and speeches, then with food, cakes and 3 bands! The school community we have here is the greatest. 

Our yard became a jungle, and the house looks like it has been burglarized. (Is that a word I wonder.)

right now

Well almost right now. Do you know we moved the kids' house to this new place? It still has no walls, but when the walls are there, V said she will move in there for the whole summer. They sitting up on the roof.

She turned 9. We did everything we always do: printed invitation cards with Print Gocco, made a dress for her, held 2 parties, bought a hydrangea.

It is summer! I love all these flowers everywhere. We've been swimming in 3 different lakes so far. I can't wait to be on summer holiday.

These photos are from Järna, Sweden. I went there for some Waldorf studies -- oh it was one whole month ago! Inspiring trip. These days I'm doing an interesting internship at a school for kids with special needs in Helsinki. I get very emotional there. Those kids! And the teachers and all the assistants! What important jobs. 

After that it will be just 2 more weeks until the summer holidays, I look forward to that. 

Tomorrow it's mothers' day, soon my baby will turn 9, her school will turn 30.

Today we had a photo-shoot, pizza and ice-cream in town. And a great exhibition at Taidehalli.
