washing

today's theme is house hold machines, BUT the pictures are from V's birthday morning. we decided that our family tradition will be to open birthday presents in bed in the morning. V turned two 3 months and 10 days ago.

today was the day that a new washing machine arrived to us. the plan was to get new machinery to Manteli, but my 10 years old Hoover didn't make it. so for the remaining months we will wash with a brand new AEG. it' s been wonderful without doing laundry, i like doing it, but our small flat has been so much bigger without the constant hanging laundry. there are hardly any nice looking washing machines! dish washers yes, but for laundry they look more or less the same. we don't go for very expensive things anyway... i like the machines looking quite serious, minimum buttons and minimum functions. and i like them quite small, lower and narrower than standard. i don't like round shapes. or crazy colors. ideal would be that you could change the front piece into whatever. and you can, says Y! we have ordered the oven (simple looking, chrome) and refrigerator (low) and diswasher (narrow with hidden buttons). i wanted us to be using only the cellar, but i guess having a refrigerator makes things easier... and then there's a place for magnetic poetry. unless we change the door into some moldy drift wood.
