Japani

faced with endless amounts of links to japanese goods and shops, i find myself somehow confused. i love Japan, for the language, for the nature and for all the beauty. the beauty that translates itself into innumerable beautiful things. when i'm not in Japan (that's of course most of the time) i try to block all this materia out of my head. i'm a materialist kind of person, but i find it very heavy to constantly want something. there are so many things to want in Japan! traditional things, modern things, books, magazines, paper stuff, porcelain, fabric, more books... and clothes. for which i am, lucky or not, too tall. and it's not only the japanese things. they know how to select also the most wonderful things from other countries. and all the cool records are to be found. and then there are the mundane things that are so beautiful you don't want to throw them away: wrapping papers, paper bags... as much as i find inspiration in just knowing about, or seeing a glimpse of wonderful things, i get also stressed about them. being a mother brings out a new world also, what lovely kids' shoes there are! and little lunch boxes. and books.



this is a lovely book V got from N for her 1st birthday, almost 2 years ago.
i have to concentrate on things we have.
we have a lot of things.
we need a lot of boxes.

Y will be away for the whole next week and i have to start packing.
