sunday

i've decided against my list of bad stuff happening this January. so, this post shouldn't be too depressing.
i haven't felt like taking any photos, but today i left V up on the hill and ran to pick up the camera. it's been snowing a little, very dry and fine snow.

the tree is the highest pine on the highest spot of the hill, and that's where our little cat H once climbed. Y climbed up with the ladder, and D and me with V in the sling were holding a blanket in case she would fall down. the cat was saved and i think that was the last time she climbed without knowing how to come back. that summer we were climbing to get her down quite many times. V is enchanted by this kind of memories. she was telling the story later as herself climbing the tree. "yes, and dad was poking you with a stick to make you fall!"

V is all about role playing these days. today she's been a little puma princess, building a hut in the forest. she was also playing the invisible child, we read Tove Jansson's short story in the morning.

we found strange footprints too - what do you think it was?

täälläkin satoi hieman lunta. maailma näyttää heti paljon valoisammalta ja pehmeämmältä.
luulenpa että se on nyt se näkymätön kun on jättänyt jälkensä lumeen..

oh my goodness! those footprints are at once goofy and scary. rather large. hehe.

"the invisible child" is a good one...i've been meaning to comment on your magic winter post too. soon!

it's nice to see your snow...here our snow tonight is quite wet and heavy. very quiet.

those footprints are a perfect starting point for a childen's story :)

could it be a lynx? or is it just V drawing in the snow... ;) traces of a puma princess?
