back to normal

always at the same window... i sit in the kitchen, tired and cold, but in a celebrating mood: i finally managed to get one work out of my hands. (i had a funny e-mail exchange with the editor. i'm lucky he's so funny even when i'm very late with my translation)

i think i will have a holiday this week! my mum gets a holiday too. we are back to normal life, Y is back to work and our visitors who stayed for one week went home (one of them pictured). i wish there was one more week with just the 3 of us and no stress... slow days and many things accomplished... how would that be? i realised (again) that baking is a bit like any other "making" for me -sewing, drawing, whatever- creating something to be seen and touched, and best of all, eaten. i have now made a humble wish to Y, let's get the oven in use. the oven is sitting on a moving box, so it needs some kind of structure and a visit from the electrician. i think i will get the sewing machine from the veranda too, and look for some fabric. V would actually need some more pants. i'm waiting for some books in the mail... even though i have made a decision to start saving money(?) for a very important purpose.

V sounds like she's gonna get sick too. i am the first one with the cold now. maybe Y gets sick too and stays home... the problem is, he usually gets very sick and then it's no fun. just a little bit sick and V not at all. ok?

im the same with saving money..i allow myself a certain amount for the month (groceries, bills, train fare) but i always see a beautiful book or something that cant resist! i think its bad being in a new city..there are just too many beautiful things! goodluck!

mau with a tutti? i am alway very eager to prevent him to use one, only for sleeping; why? i do not know, maybe because i was passionate about mine for three years and my parents were okay with it and one tries to avoid to repeat own parents. but here he is, with a tutti...
hannnna, if we would live close by and have more free time, we would make those vinyl-evenings, i am sure

some people find their mother, I think i have found a sister soul in Manteli :)

Baking is truely creative, I love it too. Yesterday it almost got a little too creative. I was about to take cayenne pepper instead of cinnamon (and I use to take a LOT of cinnamon)! Luckily I noticed my mistake in the last second.

Hope you get better soon!
