a hat from the flea-market for V. i sew flowers on it. i imagined i have loads of flowers, but the ones i found were enough only for 1/3 of the hat.
V has tied the crocodile so that it wouldn't bite the "pipe-worms" or anybody else.
some very very promising news about one kindergarten. a new one should start in August. our friend A would start there also so we could share rides again. "only" 9 km!! it is an ecological kindergarten, whatever that means. something good, i'm sure. i think the place should have some kind of ideology and be a bit ambitious in that sense.

Toivottavasti uusi päiväkoti osoittautuu yhtä hyväksi kuin miltä se kuulostaa.
Tsemppiä tosiaan uuteen päiväkotiin.
Meillä vaihto tapahtui vuosi sitten elokuussa, pelökäsimme pahinta, mutta kaikki menikin ihan hyvin. Eniten kulttuurishokkia taisi olla meillä vanhemmilla.
kiitti, ensi viikolla selviää pääseekö päiväkoti aloittamaan toimintaansa. V on siis vasta aloittamassa päiväkoteilua, kaupungissa oli vain aamukerho pari kertaa viikossa. jännittävää, ja olen ihan ylitarkka siitä millainen paikan tulisi olla...

We had originally looked at a kindergarten with an ecological profile. In that case, it meant that parents were supposed to clean the toilets and to feed the fowls during weekends and holidays. Otherwise the place looked pretty rundown. We weren't too sad that we didn't get in there..... But I hope it turns out to be a good place in your case!

yes, the steiner place where V was supposed to go at first also expects a lot of participation from the parents, which i think is fine, but if there are very few kids, then there are few parents too. the doctor we met last week said that if you want anything alternative here, you have to be ready to work for it yourself. (she's in the steiner commune herself) i believe that, and even in the city it could be like that. and i want to be involved etc, but there has to be some limits. oh i wish, i wish. i'm not sure if i'm allowed to dream about well spent time (work + private fun, sewing...) and V happy with other kids... new rhythm and new social scene. there is an event of open doors next weekend.

That is a cute picture of your little girl peeking through the swing. It is funny to hear you talk of the start of summer as we are coming into winter and this morning is cold (although it might not seem so to someone who lives where it gets very cold.)
