a new series at Manteli: favourite August Sander photos. part 1. on Tuesdays then, maybe. Y bought us the huge book set in 7 volumes , "People of the 20th Century". (true to his trademark style, he got it for a very good price)

the familypicture in the last post is amazing! at first sight i thought it was you with Y and V and i couldn't get the picture and my imagination together and then i saw the seventiesfashion and the mumminshirt, but you resemble V incredibly!
I like that you celebrate fathers day in an adequate way up in the north, here it is an excuse for men to get drunk in large groups at the begin of summer.
hei! great! then i will. of course, you can probably find the photos in the internet, if you really want to see them, but my point in this "series" is
to look at a real book. it feels like such a good way to spend time compared to browsing the endless virtual world. seriously, i've been feeling so happy looking at the heavy books, and letting the photos move me. it has felt more valuable than anything right now. (sounds a bit sad)
Mukava ajatus. Tiistaisin siis odotettavissa kaunista. Ihana kuva tämäkin. Valokuvakirjoissa on kyllä jotain paljon enemmän, kuin vain että netissä niitä kuvia selailisi. Itsekin löysin yhden kiinnostavan kuvakirjan, jonka haluaisin ostaa miehelle. Hinta vain oli sellainen, että pitää tuota hankintaa miettiä vielä monta kertaa.Enkä nyt enää edes muista kuvaajan nimeä, mutta kirja oli täynnä kuvia menneestä ajasta, Suomesta ja ihmisistä.
Yksi ystäväni on ihan hulluna Sanderin kuviin. Vaikka kyllä itsekin tykkään, mutten niin kiihkosti.
Se painopaikka on Tampereella Klingendahlissa. En kyllä muista nimeä, enkä juuri nyt jaksa kaivaa sitä mistään esiin. Mutta jos olet oikeasti kiinnostunut, niin kaivan.

Hanna, as you wrote it is a different experience seeing pictures in a book or in the internet. looking at that post i just thought i would appreciate a book made and edited by you. I would definitely buy it even it it was in finnish or japanese! ah, i forgot to ask ola about your email concerning the maja book, i am still interested, will do it next time.
