cookies... i don't have any good recipes. i'm obsessed with baking with less sugar and full-corn, or i would like my bakings to have some nutritional value. well, they are very hard, "do you want me to break my teeth!". coconut cookies (very strange recipe) that taste nice, i think. we had a girl over from next door, she and V helped me bake, and she said "yuck, tastes like bread dough!" when she tasted the dough. the other ones are lemon poppy-seed cookies from the book in the bottom. very hard also. maybe i'm doing something very wrong. soon it's time to make piparkakkuja (christmas cookies), they don't fail. unless they get burnt.

i should write about something else. anger management.

I know exactly how you feel about wanting to bake healthier things. I recently got a book called "baking with agave nectar", there's no sugar in the recipes at all. haven't tried making anything yet but I will. fingers crossed it'll be tasty. here's a link to healthier recipe books on amazon, it might help you on your baking quest!

interesting! jag brukar halvera sockermängden. Svenska recept är ofta söta. Tack för en mycket trevlig blogg!

i love the cover of the japanese cookbook. it looks like it would taste whimsical and good. it looks rather like it would have lemon-poppy-seed cookies too!

(i mean, the yellow-and-black color scheme matches so well. hehe.)

mä en kovin usein, varsinkaan arkena, leivo. paitsi leipää. siksi olenkin siirtynyt tapaan, että silloin kun leivon (yleensä synttärit tms lähipiirissä), en pyri terveellisyyteen, vaan suussasulavuuteen. mikä tarkoittaa yleensä paljon voita ja tummaa suklaata, sokerina käytän inkkarisokeria, mikä tietysti vie pahinta sokerisuutta pois ja lisää ravintoarvoakin.

haluaisin osata tehdä pikkuleipiä, jotka olisivat pähkinäisenhedelmällisiä, mausteisia, puolimakeita.

These look good, but sound like the one i tried to bite into toady at a friends 4 year olds party. I couldnt eat it..it would of done some damage and may of taken a week to digest!
Good luck with finding the cookie that crumbles :)

hello, new people! welcome.

fliss, thank you, i managed already!

i love the cover of that cook book! so nice!
i wanted to ask what full-corn is? is it cornmeal or a whole flour made of corn?? it sounds yummy and i love to try to bake healthy things too!

oh Marie, i'm translating straight from finnish often and not checking what the english word actually is... hmm whole grain! yes? the flour is darker and "harder" than white flour, and the whole grain is used. i have to correct. whole grain is also a direct translation. thanks for asking!
